I’ve been meaning to add more Undertale themed tutorials to the blog for you guys as I’ve been hearing more and more about the game online and in forums.
We’ve already covered the infamous Sans the skeleton’s outfit, so today we’ll be continuing with a Frisk Undertale cosplay guide. Perfect for groups at fancy dress parties, cosplay and Halloween too.
Unfortunately there is not offical costume at the time of writing or for the foreseeable future so we’ll be going the do it yourself route including creating Frisk’s shirt from scratch too.
Frisk is a character from Undertale who attempts to escape Underground and return to the surface and from the details we can see from the pixelated 32 bit gaming character icon we can see Frisk has short brown hair, wears a red and blue striped shirt and denim shorts.
Frisk Undertale Heart
Undertale the game attempts to recreate something you would have played as a kid on the Sega Megadrive with its vintage 32 bit design that’s an instant throwback to the 80’s (the generation I should have been born in).
So from what we can see with the image we have to go off of Frisk’s character has short brown hair. If your natural hair is similar in style already you’re good to go if not check out the wig linked above. Alongside that Frisk is shown with a heart on shirt which you can emulate using the necklace shown above too.
Frisk Undertale Shirt
Let’s move onto creating Frisk’s blue and red striped sweater, again going off the image we have of them this is the best guess at what to go for. Unfortunately I couldn’t find a sweater to match so we’ll have to go the do it yourself route using a combination of plain blue sweater (which you could also pick up from your local thrift store) paired with red fabric paint to create striped segments. Use a stencil to mark out the appropriate areas and be careful to not go over the lines, keeping them as straight and even as possible.
Frisk Undertale Costume
Moving on the final item you’ll need is a pair of denim pants. Frisk’s outfit is fairly simple and chances are you already own a pair, if not once again check the links above or your local thrift stores for shorts at a few dollars. I’ve seen many different variations to this cosplay hence why I included the denim overalls also, you decide which one to wear but either is fine.
With everything in place you’re ready to get out there dressed as your favorite Undertale character. Before you leave don’t forget to check out our Sans cosplay tutorial which is great for couples and pairs.
